Tele Classic

The historic design, uncorrected. Ash or alder, two single-coils and a circuit that hides nothing: the most honest guitar in the catalogue.

8 finishes available — and this is not a closed list

What sets it apart

  • Swamp ash or alder

This is not a line for the spec sheet: ash is open and light, alder tighter and fuller through the middle. On this shape the choice of wood makes itself heard more than on any other.

  • 250 kΩ electronics, DiMarzio

The historic values, not the convenient ones. A higher-value pot would make the sound brighter and easier to record, and would take from a Tele exactly what people choose it for.

  • Wooden pickguard

Instead of plastic: it picks up the figure of the body and changes the guitar more than a piece that small suggests it could. It is the detail that tells a De Gattis from a copy.

  • Soft relic: the finish aged just slightly, along the edges and where the hand rests. Available on request.

The neck

The light running the length of the neck.

Ten seconds from the bridge to the headstock, no editing. It is the way to see a roasted neck for what it is — colour that lifts and fades as the shot travels — and the logo at the end only reads once the light reaches it.
