What sets it apart
Pickups wound in the workshop
They are De Gattis, built one at a time. Not a part ordered from a catalogue and fitted: the piece that decides the sound is the piece we make, and on a seven-string in a low tuning it is what separates a note from a noise.
Canadian alder, quilted maple top
Alder is the light wood par excellence, full in the mids and clean underneath: on a seven-string in a low tuning it is what keeps the note apart from the noise. Above it, quilted maple adds the stiffness alder lacks — and the figure you can see.
Roasted maple, neck and fretboard
One piece, with no separate fretboard glued on. Roasting drives the remaining moisture out of the wood: the neck moves far less with changes in climate, and the sound stays drier and tighter down low.
The whole of it
Wormhole, headstock to bridge.

Hear it
A seven-string Wormhole in a low tuning, where it belongs: this is where the choices on this page stop being lines in a spec sheet.
And now
Carry on building it.
The green lines above are yours to decide. In the Custom Shop you pick them one by one, and at the end it is the luthier who writes back, not a form.
