What sets it apart
The weight disappears from behind the nut
With no headstock, the tuners sit at the body and the centre of gravity moves back: the instrument does not dive forward when you let go, and on a strap it simply stays put. It is also twelve centimetres less case, which anyone who travels with a guitar understands before playing a note.
Multiscale, 648 and 629 millimetres
The sixth string is longer than the first, the way it is on a piano. The low strings stay tight and defined even in dropped tunings, the high ones stay soft under the fingers: you stop having to choose between a scale length that works low and one that works high.
Stainless steel frets
2.80 mm jumbo in stainless steel instead of nickel silver. They do not dent under the strings and they do not wear: after years of bending the setup is still where it was, and a refret — the most expensive job in an instrument's life — never comes up.

The back, one-piece mahogany
Headless
How it sits in the hand.
Nine seconds with the instrument on, no editing. Take the headstock away and the weight that pulls forward goes with it, and the balance shifts towards the body: it is the reason a headless plays the same seated as standing, with nothing to hold up.
